Mindaugas Nakrošis

I build AI agents that run in production, move companies onto AI workflows, and automate the work nobody should be doing by hand. Most recently VP of Technology at Intick, a FinTech trading venue for futures and options.

I held full technical authority at Intick over a Python-first block trading platform for futures and options, with FIX connectivity into tier-1 banks, trillion-dollar asset managers and Eurex. Alongside the platform, I built a Claude-powered incident-triage agent that investigated production incidents and alerted the right people in Slack. I then turned its tools into company-wide MCP servers so colleagues could use the same capabilities in their own work.

Before that I was principal architect at Cult Wines, rebuilding the platform behind $330M AUM, and co-founder and CTO of a profitable B2B SaaS that exited via sale. Ten-plus years, mostly in regulated environments where reliability, security and auditability are the product. I now take on engagements independently through Trustflux Ltd, outside IR35.

What I do

  1. Build AI agents

    Tool-using agents that do real work in production, not demos: event-driven triggers, a model picked per task, read-only by default, and a trace you can reconstruct the morning after. Claude API, MCP, Python.

  2. Move companies onto AI workflows

    Map how the work actually gets done, find the steps where an agent or a Claude Code skill beats a person, and ship them as shared tools the whole team uses. MCP servers over the company's own data, so the capability outlives any single project.

  3. Automate operations

    Incident triage, cloud cost review, backlog grooming, pre-merge review: repetitive senior-judgment work encoded once, with its sources cited, and run on demand.

  4. Lead the technology

    VP- and principal-level mandates: architecture, technology budget, hiring, ISO 27001, and translating between the CEO and the engineers.

    Intick · VP of Technology 2024 – 26

    Full technical authority over a block trading venue for futures and options. Shipped a production incident-triage agent: incidents land on Azure Service Bus, a Claude agent runs a tool-using loop to find the root cause, and the right people get a Slack alert. Its tools became company-wide MCP servers.

    Agent in production, not a pilot, inside a venue where one failed block order could be existential for the business.

    A read-only agent that runs an Azure cost review in twenty minutes: snapshots a tenant via the az CLI, evaluates it against a cited FinOps rule corpus, and writes a report with prioritised findings.

    £5.4k – £7.4k a month in savings found on a £30k-a-month tenant, roughly 3× what Azure Advisor surfaces.

  4. 04

    spec-check Shipped 2026

    A Claude Code skill that reads a feature branch and its Notion spec, then writes a pre-merge review report. It is read-only by architecture, not by convention: every finding cites its source, and every recommendation is a question for the human.

    Scope creep, spec drift and missing tests surfaced before merge, without the skill touching a single file.

    Cult Wines · $330M AUM platform rebuild 2021 – 24

    Front-office, then principal architect and Azure DevOps lead. Led the rebuild of the decade-old monolith running the whole business onto an event-driven Azure platform, and delivered the CultX trading platform across web, iOS and Android.

    $10M of new AUM in three months from the client onboarding app.
